|
A1 |
-
With
wrong sides together and right side facing out, fold each
yellow rectangle from envelope A1 lengthwise together.
- Press
the fold.
|
|
| A2 |
-
With right sides together, fold the 8 squares
from envelope A2. Bring the two opposites corner to meet,
making it look like a triangle.
Press the diagonal fold.
-
Use the yellow pieces from envelope A1 and sew them into the fold of the
blue triangles:
Open up the blue square.
Place the folded yellow rectangle onto the fold of the blue
square, the raw edges in the fold.
Close the square to a triangle again.
-
Using
the fold as a raw edge, sew ¼'' from the edge, closing in the
raw edges of the yellow rectangle.
-
Open
up and press the square. Try to press the yellow 'line' onto
the diagonal and not more to one side than the other.
-
With
the yellow 'line' going from left lower corner to right upper
corner, sew a 1''x 3'' rectangle of same color onto the left
side of the square.
Still with the 'line' going from left lower corner to right
upper corner, sew a 1''x 6'' rectangle of same color onto the
lower side of the square.
Square up the block to 3''x 3''.
-
Sew
7 blocks more; 8 blocks altogether.
|

|
| B |
- Use
3'' squares from envelope B and the 8 blocks from A2.
Look at the picture and place the blocks and squares as shown.
The yellow 'line' is here pointing up into the left
upper corner.
- Sew
this block together by starting to sew
two and two squares together, making 16 blocks of 3''x
5 ½''.
- Make
8 four-patches as shown.
Put them back into the envelope marked B.
